The factory seats will be superior quality I can tell you that, what are you trying to achieve and then maybe we can shed some light.

I bought a pair of aftermarket seats on fleabay a couple of years ago and still have them in the car. Mine were a tad but different but still chinese cheapies... even had to make mounting rails out of flat stock aluminum. The good: they're cheap and I'll bet lighter than stock as mine were. The bad: porsche quality is what you pay for. I still have mine in because they work well and I'm too cheap to buy a proper set of porsche seats... My father visited this last january and said they look good in the car..

I bought a pair of cheap reclinable racing/sport seats and put them in my 82 when I had it. The driver's seat broke and fully reclined while autocrossing. Since then I am fully against cheap aftermarket seats from unknown manufacturers. Imagine what could have happened in an accident. Just my 2cents. Joe

Original seats in these cars are extremely strong and comfortable.
Even if they need new leather or new foam or both, its the way to go.
