Actually, it should probably be "marbleized"... Not sure that was ever an official term, but it describes the style of the leather.
It looks a bit like marble, because it's not just one flat color. That might be why one of the colors is named after the famous Italian "Carrara" marble.

Completely OT but that's kind of wierd. Carrara marble is famous because it is basically completely white and doesn't have "normal" marbleing. Somewhere I have a photo of my Black SE after being parked outside Carrara marble mines (yes not quarries) for a few hours while we visited - it became a white SE.

Nicole, that IS Carrera Gray and it LOOKS like it too...the other one didn't look ANYTHING like this and was clearly GREEN sweetheart! That and the dismantler said it was green...
I do like this color pretty well...kind of reminds me of dove gray, but might be darker than that...

I'm sure we'll see a letter from Porsche authenticating the use of Marbled Green leather in the amazing 928 GTE soon

Hilton, that was FUNNY!
Nicole, I think it was that Sherwood Green...or whatever it was they called it, but it is also VERY possible that it was a custom job... When folks are springing for the wood package and all that other stuff, sometimes they will pony up and just do an interior color to match!
