Thanks guys. It helped keep me sane. What I hope people take out of this is if the "want to" is there you can do it. There is nothing special about my abilities....I just DID it. Really the worse that could happen is you have to pay a pro to fix it.

I just need more workspace and good weather to attempt this, (Like you have there) I enjoy doing engine and bodywork on cars.

I understand.

I did most of the hard work just out in the sun. The actual painting was under a cover with enclosed plastic walls I put up temporarily. You do need space though.

Just read this thread. Man Dean, nice work and commitment. I am getting ever closer on going down the same road on the blue bomber. Thanks for all the good info and pics.

11-8-14

Spent today refreshing the fuel rails and the short fuel lines at injectors. New seals as well. Have already changed the longer fuel lines. Hope to at least get started changing the timing belt and adding a PorKen tensioner as well Sunday afternoon. Will try to add some pix soon on all that. Have new rear cam seals to swap in to hopefully stop a oil leak at rear passenger head area. After that...fix the non operating speedo and add seatbelts to front seats and she is done.......for now.

Also added brand new driver and passenger window seals from Roger about a month ago. Took a long time to get around to it. I ended up removing the glass to add the weather strip. Will add pix soon.

Had the great pleasure of seeing this car in person this week. It is as nice in person as the pictures portray. Dean does excellent work and this was as extensive a rebuild as I have seen. Nice work Dean.

Thanks for sharing that Brian - this is one of the most beautiful sharks. I'd love to see it live and in person someday.
