The ratcheting box ends are a very worth while investment. The only suggestion I have, is if you get a set, get a set that is reversible (little lever to change ratcheting direction). If you do not have a reversible wrench and you back a nut of bolt out against another part you cannot get your wrench off and you cannot turn the fastener back in.

Cordless impact wrench - if you already have one of the Craftsman 19.2v tools, battery and charger.

They have a 1/2" drive one that I just picked up for $99, but I already had the drill, batteries, and charger, so it was an add on.

The Craftsmen version of the gear wrenches, and the small set of sockets designed for the box end.

A quality impact gun, WITH PROPER SIZED 3/8" FITTINGS THAT HAVE A 3/8" ID.

My vote would also be gear wrenches, but noone has mentioned that some have a pivoting head and some don't. Get the pivoting head wrenches. More money, but great for the oil pan bolts and the front upper AC compressor bolt to name just two. I've found that Lowe's sells them for about what Sear's puts them on sale for.

It looks like gear wrenches were mentioned the most so I got this set for $69 today. I hope the flex head was best. Got the ones w/ 17 and 19mm as suggested.

Good choice. I use these often for all manner of reasons, not just for the car.
