Slow night at boy scouts. Decided to see how many additional tools have appeared since the last time this thread bumped. Embarrassed that this is the result:
VW Suspension tools:
VW 415a
VW 408a
VW459-1 and 459-2
VW 244b
VW 441
VW 407
Both versions of valve stem seal installer 9225 – you want the one with the nub in the center:
Porsche tool 2630. Advertised on Ebay as being for 928, I don’t have the faintest freaking idea what it’s for.
9223 shaft seal driver
9266 2-pin AMP connector tool (for ISV, injectors, etc):
Wheel lock cap tool: 928 361 311 00
9259 Airbag sensor socket:
9201 and 9201-2 Belt tensioner
VW Suspension tools:
VW 415a
VW 408a
VW459-1 and 459-2
VW 244b
VW 441
VW 407

I think it's the PNA721022.

As an alternative, Greg turned me onto the Snap-On CF700, also made by Regis as the RL-700. It's used in conjunction with a Kent-Moore valve spring adapter. There are pics of mine in post #39 of this thread:

There's this that looks like it would work but also looks like a pain to use - based upon the videos.
I've found several "BMW" tools for this, but they're all for wimpy 5.5 and 6mm stems not the 7mm stems on a 32v. (Measured twice, but, maybe I'm wrong there.)
Again, this is easy as pie on the 16v. No special tool needed.

Samuel, do you want to buy it and have it shipped to you, or are you just pointing it out?

I don't know anyone close enough to Emeryville for whom that wouldn' t be a hassle. Go for it! And grab the transmission base and oil pump tools while you're there.

Thanks to Greg Brown, I'm getting closer to the end of the internet. Behold, the US 8031 tool:
