Slow night at boy scouts. Decided to see how many additional tools have appeared since the last time this thread bumped. Embarrassed that this is the result:

VW Suspension tools:

VW 415a

VW 408a

VW459-1 and 459-2

VW 244b

VW 441

VW 407

Both versions of valve stem seal installer 9225 – you want the one with the nub in the center:

Porsche tool 2630. Advertised on Ebay as being for 928, I don’t have the faintest freaking idea what it’s for.

9223 shaft seal driver

9266 2-pin AMP connector tool (for ISV, injectors, etc):

Wheel lock cap tool: 928 361 311 00

9259 Airbag sensor socket:

9201 and 9201-2 Belt tensioner

It would be neat if the simpler/ non mechanical tools were recreated in solidworks or sketchup so that the rarer tools could be recreated without much fuss.

Does anyone have a part/product number for the Sauer assembly tool?

Edit: And/or a recommendation for an alternative tool for installing the keepers on a 32v? (On a 16v you can use your fingers...)

I think it's the PNA721022.

As an alternative, Greg turned me onto the Snap-On CF700, also made by Regis as the RL-700. It's used in conjunction with a Kent-Moore valve spring adapter. There are pics of mine in post #39 of this thread:

Hmm... it's unclear if these contain the gizmo I seek. I have the Schley valve spring compressor kit. I'm specifically looking for the keeper assembly tool - or something like it - shown above: something that allows you to set the keepers in place and enables them to lock-in when you compress the valve spring. It's not clear to me that any of the items pictured in this thread, other than that shown in BC's reposted-above picture, do that.

There's this
Lisle 'Universal' tool Lisle 'Universal' tool
that looks like it would work but also looks like a pain to use - based upon the videos.

I've found several "BMW" tools for this, but they're all for wimpy 5.5 and 6mm stems not the 7mm stems on a 32v. (Measured twice, but, maybe I'm wrong there.)

Again, this is easy as pie on the 16v. No special tool needed.

Does someone from the SF bay area have interest into a 9128 ( T-shaped support for holding engine on engine stand ) and could collect it quickly?

Samuel, do you want to buy it and have it shipped to you, or are you just pointing it out?

It would be too expensive to ship to me, but someone could collect it for free if in the SF area!
Otherwise, it will be scraped soon.

If there are no takers I'll add it to my collection. Where in the Bay Area?

Near the Pixar Studio, in Emeryville, California. Rob has already shown interest but you are way closer than him.
How could you handle this?

I am in the east bay and have a Honda Pilot that I could use to pick up... if it is taken that is okay. Let me know.

I don't know anyone close enough to Emeryville for whom that wouldn' t be a hassle. Go for it! And grab the transmission base and oil pump tools while you're there.

Thanks to Greg Brown, I'm getting closer to the end of the internet. Behold, the US 8031 tool:

Two questions Rob.

1) what function does is serve?

2) is the right hook supposed to be open more than the left side, or is it an optical delusion?
