Derek Bell 928 Club Sport

Nice article in the February 911 & Porsche World magazine, although he eventually sold the car and kept his 924 Carrera GTS!

Hans Stuck, Jochen Mass, Jackie Ickx, and Bob Wollek also had these as 'company' cars as works drivers.

VERY COOL!!! That would be a GREAT car to have!

Sold relatively recently in the UK for about 20-25k GBP - about 30-38k US at the time. I think it is no longer in the UK.

Two of Derek's other 928s are still in the UK - Paul Ukkid35 has his 87S4 and Simon Watson owns his S.

WOW !! can,t believe Porsche 911 world have actually mentioned a 928, although I guess once in a blue moon,s ok.
Stopped buying this mag as it,s usually all about the title.., with the omission of "World"

Very cool pics.
If I'm not mistaken, this very car was recently for sale on mobile.de for 15k-20k'ish euros. Can't recall the actual amount, but it was not too much for car with such a history.

Yeah, I discovered that very same thing and stopped buying it. I also stopped buying "GT Porsche" mag for the same reason. You'd think that since the 928 is one of the very few "Grand Touring" Porsche models made, you'd see a lot of articles about them in that magazine.... NOT!

I guess that old saying is true: "You can't tell a book by its cover"... or even it's title apparently! :nono:

Not Mr. Bells, but instead Hr Hans Joachim Stucks former car is for sale here

Looks good, but not cheap....

Oh.

Well, my memory sometimes is just plain bad. :(
That's still not overly expensive for a unique car.

This is a photo of Hans Stuck taking his GTS from the Porsche representative.

Sadly, this GTS was totaled in an accident on the Autobahn (not Hans Stuck driving and there were no injuries).

Where is Jochen Mass' car? Whatabou Wollek?

Where is Jochen Mass' car? Where is Wollek's car? Talking about the 928 S4 clubsport prototype. HJ Stuck s car is in the netherlands, Bell's car in Belgium, whatabout the other 2? Would be great to reunite these cars!

ihoe 04-14-2014 05:23 PM

The Jochen Mass car is in Norway.

I'm in touch with the owners of the Bell's and Mass's cars, and was with the previous owner of the Stuck's car.
I try to contact the new owner. Let me know if you know him.

I haven't found a trace of Wollek's car, except into the Porsche production database.

I plan to organize a CS meeting in the future.
