928 Rims Price?

George, when considering wheels, the 928's front offset is atypical.
Re-using the stock rims off the 84 is a good plan - they'll be the correct ET65 front, and you'll get to experience first-hand how well a 928 can drive.
Also worth noting, the easy way to tell genuine Porsche wheels is to look at the base of the valve stem on the outside face of the wheel - original Porsche wheels have the rim width and offset embossed there, where it can be seen easily when the wheel's mounted on the car.
Whilst people say there's no difference, a back to back test on one of my cars of ET55 and ET65 fronts, both with 225x45xR17 rubber, has me convinced of the difference, and I will no longer consider anything under 60mm negative offset (lowest factory 928 front offset wheels.. 8" wide clubsport rims).

I have one off the LR and a Pair of Fronts. NOW are they different width, good question since a FAST look by my helper told me that ALL the tires wher the SAME SIZE so unless he is wrong OR they put the SAME WIDTH tires on all 4 corners.

I looked at the rims myself
Both have the SAME markings on the outside of the rims and the front and rear tires are the same. Front are ALMOST new Perrille and the ONE rear is a Falken 225x45 R17 on all three
Looked at the BACK of the rear rims and it says MADE IN ITALY.
Back of REAR rim says 96x17H2
Front on Front of rim says
JWL or JIL 620 KO R or F
Rear on Front of rims says
JWL or JIL 620 KO R or F
Sorry crappy old eyes.
So looks like they are the SAME BUT will have the fronts off today and look and see what is stamped on the back of the rim.

stolarzj, don't bet on that!!! One of my cup II rear rims cracked at less than 30k miles on it. Many Cup I rims have cracks in them as well! It is not uncommon for the cast wheels to crack! All the cases for factory wheels that I have seen have been repairable though, so that is nice!
