Pray the positons are marked on the switch as shown in this 82 wiring diagram. Note the wire colors.

The colors coded on the diagram do not all match the ones I have.

I have a Yellow wire
2 Black Wires
2Black/Yellow Wires
1 Gray Wire
2 Red Wires
1 Red/Black Wire

I have the same problem, mine are not this jumbled. I guess it is obvious now, that the sheath covering these pins will slid off in a flash. Don't let it slip off!!!!!!! It happened at the end of the day and although I have the GTS wiring diagram, I did not have time to mess with it. They do not have slots, they are sort of free-***** in there and if anybody has a picture or trick for getting this back together I would appreciate it. The wiring diagr is not the clock-face arrangement so I'm lost as to how to match colors with pin positions.
