Since this thread has a holy resurrection, I'll answer the question that I missed oh so long ago.

The injury I sustained was a torn shoulder muscle. It hurts, it's going to continue to hurt whether they give me money or don't give me money. I don't feel right taking money for something that money won't fix. Money won't make this pain (discounting drugs) go away and the temporary fix for the suffering fades oh so quickly when the money is gone.

Maybe if more people thought this way and didn't see an accident as a payday our insurance rates would be lower. To my point of view this goes hand in hand with the getting something for nothing mentality in this country.

My deal was fair. Got made whole on the car, medical bills paid and went on living life.

I agree completely. I don’t believe in “something for nothing”. I consider myself of above average intelligence and am a hard worker. I have been fortunate enough to always hold a good job and earn a decent income (at least by local standards). I can afford a $30K vehicle for transportation but my 928s are not transportation, they are toys. I don’t lust after things I cannot afford and I certainly do not try to live beyond my means.

Cheers to all of you that own a “nice example” 928. Keep them nice and when the **** boxes finally disappear they should be valued accordingly. For now, I’m happy with my ****box 928 life.

Happy New Year,

Denny

Wouldn't a ****box 928 be one that doesn't run and probably never will?

My $13k car is now a $35k car. Does that count?

Yes, perhaps a definition is in order. 'Cause if someone called my baby a ****box I do believe I would feel obligated to stomp a mudhole in his a$$.
