Looks like the storm is missing us, but it's getting cold as hell. -30 wind chill tonight. Guess winter is finally here.

Stay warm.

Only a true Canadian would say that: "the storm is missing us but its getting cold -30c"

Wonder how that'd work in Tx?

I live in Chicago. I've driven my 928 everyday for 4 years, winter or summer. It works fine.

Hey Dave, look at the threads we have a new S4 guy here (88....something is his screen name) who put up a thread about remote starting called "automatic start"...I am sure he would be interested in what you have done.

By the way for all you who live in the south... snow is not very slippery down there. snow falling down there falls on very warm roads and is slush once it hits the ground... slush isn't very slippery stuff.

never gets cold enough to stay frozen on the roads... i have driven a very notable speed on snow...

105 mph on the maine turnpike in a blizzard in an audi quattro at 3:00 am in 1989 with about 5-7 inches of snow on the tarmac virtually unplowed.

I grew up in the snowbelt here in Ontario, I remember hitting drifts on the road taller then the hood of the car! I don't think I would want to take a 928 through that (my 74 Duster did OK through!).

As for the Texas folk, I don't know how you survive there in the summer LOL!

I was thinking same..........I survive way better at -40c than +40c

The weather man says we have windchills of -43c this morning and I'd agree with him. Dogs are on the tip toes

As long as your are west and or north and west in Texas (where it REALLY gets hot) it is a DRY heat! No big deal! Seriously I don't know how you guys manage in a climate w/ W/C factors putting the perceived temps at -40F! That is INSANE! EVERYTHING freezes in that temp...I can't imagine!

Oh, EVERYTHING in Texas is airconditioned! Including my garage! So the only time you get really hot is between the door of the store and your car!

My next door neighbors moved here from Calgary and for a coupla years when the sun was out but it was in the 40's (quite cool for here) the next door neighbor's wife would be laying on a lawn chair outside sunning herself. I asked about her about laying out in the "cold" and she would just say "It's 30 below in Calgary today with two feet of snow on the ground."
Nuff said.
