Rob
I will wait and see what greg says about the intake as it will be his new intake and obviously I would want them done the same.....I think . I just don't know what the new intake will look like yet . May be carbon fiber on the intake?
Any way I appreciate the offer and I will talk with greg alittle more when the looks of the intake are closer to done!!
I can't wait to see what his new intake will dooooo!!!!!

The new intake would be fetching either in wrinkle red, or perhaps wrinkle black. With wrinkle red valve covers it would look fan-freaking tastic. I can't wait to see it hurting tires on the dyno......

when i had the engine out last summer i did the exhaust manifolds and Xpipe inside and out in ceramic...they came out sweet and the whole package looks

The wrinkle finish hides ALL the casting marks i had. I spent the time sanding and filling the worse of them also. Its holding up perfectly. Keeping the wrinkle finish clean is a non issue.

Tony - that looks fantastic. I have a question about the wrinkly finish in general.... how easy is it to keep clean? Does the wrinkly finish hold dirt/grease smudges?

I was thinking aluminum fuel rails. Something like this, minus the red-blue anodized ricer stuff:

In my opinion, the dimpled red parts look better if there's something silver in between. It's not that black looks bad, there just has to be enough light and silver/aluminum near the red for contrast. One thing that might further improve the red dimpled color scheme is changing the intake tubes to silver color solid pipes. But in any case, these are just personal preferences. And I do like your red camcovers, silver intake scheme.

In any case, now I am giving you the opportunity to rip my color scheme. My car will have Kuhn's system (below), with the following mods:

- All blue parts will be black (fittings, silicon)
- The black air box will have more subtle silver turbo text on black background
- Intake and cam covers will be silver without any detailing on the text, just plain silver
- The car is triple black otherwise

If the engines intake and cam covers will be stock silver, I would paint all the turbo plumbing matte black. I dont like all the plumbing on Johns kit, I wish it could be simplified.

non issue really. I guess its partly do to my car...there is no oil and grease on the engine any more . nada..none...nyet...nunca!
I get a lot of sand/dust/dirt...but a blast with the air hose gets rid of most of it, then i hit it with simple greem or the likes.

Some other colors i though of doing.
An olive green color. I know it sounds bad but i saw it on another car, Volvo, with red lettering and it look great. Very industrial looking.

A wrinkly black and grey were also at the top of my list.

if i was NA with the stock manifold..this is what i would do now. Wrinkle grey with white and red letters.

What did it cost to have that coating on the headers and x pipe? I love that titanium look

I found the receipt for the Powder coating of the covers $20 a piece.
I cant find the one for the ceramic coating at this point. It wasnt the cheapest thing. I did the manifolds and the X pipe. They blasted and prepped it and also did the insides. If i find it i will post it. The manifolds and X pipe wre probably in the $250 range total.. ..thats just a WAG.
I wanted it all to look nice obviously but i also wanted to keep as much of the heat out from the engine bay and from under the tunnel area behind it.

Actually im taking a "scrap" enigne block and pistons up there this afternoon to be prepped for some "garage decor"
I'l probably start a thread on that soon.
