Sorry I missed you Malcolm. You have 1300 kms in less than 3 days and I'm working on 500 kms in just over 2 years. I gots some catching up to do!

No worries Mike.............it'll happen.
Remaining for this year is the Road to the Sun ride and Heinrichs Octoberfest of which I'm waiting the details.............the border will not defeat me
I'd also like to have a Alberta OC chapter GTG in Calgary this fall.

Fast, old airplanes and now fast, old, steam locomotives!! Right on! Thank you, Stan.
It may be just me, but isn't there something in that red bumper panel and the curvy rails holding it on (and despite the twin bumbers and lanterns) that brings to mind the legendary Cyclops, also hurtling through the night on its way to yet another victory?
"Back in 1957, Automobili Cyclops SpA introduced the world’s smallest and cheapest car, the Cyclops II. It was and still is made out of old CinZano signs and costs $14.32 US. Its phenomenal sales over the last 40 years have made it so common worldwide that only the most astute observer even notices them on the road today!"
"Yet, did you know that the Cyclops II is race proven? That it won the 1960 Le Mans 24 Hour Race? Won the 1964 East African Safari? Won the 1965 Targa Florio? Won the 1966 Indy 500? Won the 1967 German Grand Prix? And more?"
Anybody remember how they were imported to the New World?

Nice work flyin' scotsman!
I can't quite match that, but then distances on your continent always seem so vast to me!
Shortly after buying my 928, I did a weekend trip:
Drove from U.K. to the Nurburgring, a chunk of Vmax on the autobahn, including some friendly play with a 993 on German plates then a few hard laps of the Nordschleife (26km x ?). All in one day.
Next day drove to Spa in Belgium to watch the 1000km race, then back home.
Total distance 1200km, 5 countries, 2 days. The 928 didn't miss a beat and the most impressive thing to me was, even after all that distance both the car and I felt relaxed enough that I could have turned around and done it all over again!
