What colors/materials did OB cargo covers come in?

I see that there is plenty of posts on the newer style luggage covers, but what on OB's? The OB covers are different and snap in. My car came with it (per the window sticker) but it's long lost. I have a cork full leather interior with cork carpet, pannels, dash, etc. I found someone with a mint cover who wants to sell...

My questions are;

1. Did the OB original covers come in matching color of the interior or just black? (I can not find any pictures of anything but black regardless of interior color)

2. Did they come in different materials? (Chucks -Kermit - seems to be black cloth - but he has black carpet. I also saw a picture of a khacki colored OB with full cork color interior and it had black cloth too. Dave's OB is black vinyl.

4. What's a good OB cover worth? (Are they priced like S4 OEM or mint condition covers? is cloth worth the same as vinyl or vice versa?

5. Does Paul (or anyone else) make an OB aftermarket option that fits as the OEM one did?

thanks!

PET is your friend. They were available in dark green, brown and black. Factory calls material perlon velour.

My 78 has the original cargo cover. It is the snap in type, and is black. It is a heavy material, like crushed velour. Here's a pic:

Another angle from the front - there is a stiffining rod in it, so that it stays in its shape - bent over at 90 degrees in front of the net.

My 83 still has the original cover. It has half twist plastic snaps at each corner with a bungee type flex cord. Fronts go into the side panels behind the seats and rears attach to the hatch. Cover goes up and down with hatch. It also came in dark blue material matching the carpet.

If you decide to go with a non-original color, be aware that light can reflect off the cover into the rear glass. That can be distracting at minimum, and on a sunny day may actually ocscure your rear vision inside the car. Stick with a dark, non-reflective material like the original velour, or maybe a dark Sunbrella fabric.

Thanks to all. Those pictures really help. Good point about reflection - I'm convinced to go with black. Just wondering why there was the one posted by Dave (Shark Skin) in a sep post a while back with a vinyl version of the OB cover. Is that OEM too? I'm partial to the velor pictured above on that beautifull blue OB with the Pasha inserts.

yours is the newer style. Mine doesn't go up with the hatch, but stays in place until you unsnap it. The snaps on mine are under the ridge on the back of the rear seats, and on top of the tool piece at the raer of the cargo area.
