Thanks Ken,
Mike, what kind of volt meter do you have? I've got a Fluke with a bunch of features that I've never
tried out. I've also got a Oscope, but that might be a pita.

The meter we use is Adam's. My Fluke doesn't have any of those bells and whistles either. I'll check with him or see if I can get him to chime in on this thread. I've also used my Innovate LM-1 setup (with Porken Bridgit ) with the laptop to verify it once I 'tuned' it at 2k rpms.

Mike and I have been using my Fluke 88v for diagnostics and setting the idle. The "smoothing" feature is really nice when checking the idle and other systems. This feature smoothes out the input signals for an easier read. Highly recommend a Fluke 88v.

Thanks Adam, I have a Fluke 189, it says that it has Frequency capability however I've never used
it. When you check the RPM, what do you connect the leads to? Or do you need a special accessory?

My kit came with the magnetic rpm pick-up clamp that clamps around a sparkplug wire and plugs into the 88v. Not sure if the 189 has the ability to check rpm. If so, check the Fluke website for the rpm pick-up clamp part #.
