Poll; What do you have into your 928 in $ & What do you think you could sell it for?

What do some of you guys have into your 928's in purchase, maintence and upgrades -- all toll vs. what you "would" sell your cars for. "Would" as in, not what the market thinks they are worth, but what you think they are worth..... Not that you would ever sell them ;-)

I just got my OB (79) this month, but I can start by saying my PO's receipts from new -- come to about 35k into the car -- not including the original 35k purchase price.

Not too bad when you think of that over a 30 year span! Or am I wrong?

Untold $1000's.

Not a hell of a lot.

Don't care really, it's my toy.

Rule #1 - never add up your receipts
Rule #2 - see rule #1

As for the current value - it qualifies for the "cash for clunkers" program.

Original investment...
$1,000 to $12,000 depending on which car.
Upgrades and modifications....
$800 to $8,000
True worth...
Priceless:D

#1: $X
#2: $X - $10K to $15K. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Easily put $30K in and would be lucky to get $15K out, but it's not for sale. If I think of all the entertainment value I've extracted from it... I'm probably upside down and would need to give it away plus some cash to make it even.

Never added it up.

Never will.

Some things are best left unexplored, like the contents of your septic tank. You know it's there, but there's only misery in a complete examination.

LOL. That's exactly what I did (total the receipts) and shouldn't do (total the receipts).
