Default RAISING REAR HIGHT?

With my new 18" wheels the pass side is rubbing. Can I raise the rear ride hight without messing up the alignment?

I have never heard of rear ride height affecting alignment. Where is it at right now?

Ted asks the right question. Depending on the current height, raising the rear of the car will slightly reduce rear camber by moving the top of the wheel out slightly. It's likely that the contour of the fender will clear better as the car is raised, especially if you are having the rub only with the suspension compressed while driving. Most cars that have sagged also have too much rear camber anyway, so getting the car back up a bit will likely improve alignment in the end.

For those playing along at home, remember that this applies only to the rear height adjustment. Front height adjustmenst seriously affect toe settings.

I guess the other question, is it rubbing on the inside or outside?

May have to widen out the rear fenders, see Andrew Olsen's video.

a very light wood base ball bat can do a good job on a slight rub. more so than raising the car.
It might be just a matter of flattening out the inner lip, which is probably the part that is rubbing.
to answer the question, changing ride hight in the rear has a minimal effect on alignment.

Should I bring the 5-Lb or 25 Lb hammer tomorrow along with the camera?

I'm working on my final warning lamp issues.
Stop lamp blemsmtch or bullshxt lamp done replaced all bulbs with the same type.
Front fog high beam replaced bulb
Tensioner grounded connector waiting for drive.
Reconnected my window connector, it was off only to find out after door was on, including Dyna Mat install.
Fixed mirrors wires on incorrect.
Except for the tire rubbing car is running and looking great!
Waiting on sun roof shoe was sent the wrong one!!

P.S. Any one have the english translation for the warning lamps?

All I can say is after the following changes, mine was seriously out of alignment. I just got back from the shop yesterday after I noticed my fronts were wearing uneven (on the inside)

1. 17' to 18" wheels
2. height adjustments both rear and front
3. Rogers drop links on all 4 corners (just installed about 2 weeks ago)

I ran some google searches when we got our first euro....what I sort of figured out was the following.

Brems = brake
Licht = light

So Bremslicht is the brake lights, and the one that says handsbremslicht - or something like that - is the handbrake.

Wasser = water, so that is the coolant warning.

I can't remember what else the thing says....post up some of the words that you need?
