Default Lamp issues

85 Euro:
Car is almost back together have a couple of issues:
1: Bremsmitch lamp I think that means stop lamp works as intended, start car comes on hit brake goes off. Once I put it in gear it comes back on, I replaced a bad stop bulb replacing both bulbs to make sure.
2: The front and center lid lamp glows dim when door or hatch is closed. The center hatch lamp wiring is been replaced and is not color correct. Does anyone have a chart that shows the correct color to post connections for the lamps.

Are you SURE you have brake lights???? One of the 2 switches on the bottom of the brake master cylinder may be bad. When one of the 2 goes you have no brake lights.

Cheap part from autozone...crossreference from a VW part...around 10 bucks if I remember correctly.
