Default Something very interesting!

So I was chatting with a friend of mine, and he informed me that they are going to be holding a new ralley fall 2010 IN BC!!!!

http://www.targacanadawest.com/

It will be like the Ralleys in tasmania, New Zealand, and Newfoundland.

So I was thinking about building my car to be able to run in some SCCA in the end. But I think I may just build it so that I can run in this instead.

I think that this would be an absolute riot! However I may need to pull out the fuel cell I now have in there and put something else in as I think for some of the stretches on that map 15 gallons wouldnt be enough for a thirsty TT car!

my car, all detailed, and ready for display. That is a good one Terry!

Even when I am done the TT beast it will still be a good from afar but far from good in a costemtics sence. I am more interested in the things that matter, you know like braking, suspension, safety, and of course, lots and lots of POWER.

Maybe your company could sponsor my car

Not alot of details there. Frankly, I'm sceptical of any such event of that size occurring in this province. This is one of the first (if not the first) jurisdictions in N. America to introduce a "carbon tax". With "enviro-*****" like David Suzuki advising the government and the kind of opposition that exists to things like the Winter Olympics, it would be a long shot at best. Remember all the whining every year about the Molson Indy? Gone. Remember the Westwood road course? Gone. Remember the B.C Custom Car Club giving up their drag strip to the government on the promise of land for a replacement? I don't know how many years they fought that in court before they finally got the government to honor its agreement. Motorsport gets no respect in this province...... Oh, and that's not even mentioning the fact that most of those roads run through land claimed by local Indian bands (last I heard their claims encompass about 110 % of the province). They'll all need to be "paid off" or they'll just resort to their old trick of road blockades. Good f'ing luck!

Hey Glenn,

Havent seen you around or answering emails as of late. Good to know your still around and kicking.

I do understand what you are saying, and my fingers will be crossed, but who knows if we could get enough interest it could happen.
And to help with the road blocks and or other issues like that all we need is some james bond trickery, and well placed snipers!

For those that are interested.

I fired off an email for curiosity sake, and got a responce back already.

The government talks are just finishing up apparently and all the information will be on the website at the end of the month. So the email says.

This is being vetted by everyone from all the other Ralleys. There will be 6 run groups as well. From more of a street car, to a full GT1 style car.
