I am getting excited thinking about the road trip thanks to all who helped make this trip possible. I will be driving the turbo Passat it has A/C and gets 35 MPG Plus it is light green and just blends into the backround.

The direction from which you are coming I would think tan like the sand dirt and dried up dead plants would blend in better! LOL!
Looking forward to seeing you Jim!

Good point the old very brown faded 1980 would match the scenery better at least until I hit Texas. I just do not think I would survive that many hours with no A/C, no sunroof ,and lightly padded race seats. Plus I have so much negative camber that I wear the inside edges of the front tire when I go in a staight line.

Green? 27 years in Texas and I have yet to see "green vegetation" in August.
...kidding. Lots of great drives in the area.

Good news, Mason and the Sharkologist from 928Worldwide will be in attendance with a selection of used 928 parts. So bring your checkbooks or cash for those needed goodies for your Shark.

Hi all,
I just finalised my accommodation, DHS is (apparently) happy to let me into the US, and Qantas has confirmed my flights.
Now all I need to do is pack, and find my passport.
I arrive Dallas International early evening on the 29th - are there any activities / get-togethers planned for the 30th (day or evening)?

COOL! Gonna have an Aussie joining us...that will make it a REAL International Affair! Who else is coming from a land far away? Steve it will be awesome to meet someone from down under, hope you don't get sick being upside down on the top of the world... LOL! Just messin' with you! Looking at your sig line, you will feel RIGHT AT HOME here, as it gets SUPER HOT in Dallas too! We are (and have been) in the 100's this week... God only knows what that will mean for July/August. Our peak temp month is usually Sept, but the hottest average is usually August.

Nothing formal that I know of. We'll certainly be around to have some fun though.
