Front Lights
I am totally confused about which lights in the front nose are what. I have the nose off to make some other repairs and am in process of putting the bumper / lights back in place.
The wiring diagram is pretty confusing because it has lights my car doesn't have even though it states it is for an '85.
Right now on the left side the turn signal works, the next light toward the center comes on with the headlights, and the next light toward the center comes on when the fog light switch it depressed.
The right side the turn signal doesn't work, the next light also doesn't work when the headlights are on, but the next light does light when the fog light switch is depressed. Also the right side fron marker light doesn't work.
I have checked the wiring color codes against the wiring diagram and all should be good.
I have checked the brown wires and all grounds appear to be good.
When I check for voltage on the other wires when the lights are on I don't get anything.
This can not be that hard but I don't want to rip the harness out to open it up if am just being stupid about what lights should be on when.
Any insght would be greatly appreciated.

The lights are as follows for a 1985: outside to inside, flasher, clearence lamp, fog lamp. They work as follows: flasher works with turn signal, clearence are on when running or headlights are on, fog lights work when the running or headlights are on and the fog lamp switch is depressed. the fog lamp relay runs the fog lamps and is powered by the X relay.

I believe this is one of the cases where the wiring diagrams are hopelessly wrong - the depicted lighting for '85 shows a hybrid combination of the ROW & USA models (with positions defaulting to ROW convention) - I belive no cars were shipped with all the lighting depicted in those '85 wiring diagrams (e.g. side markers AND side turn signals) - the '86 version for USA is closest to what you should actually have...

Thanks guys - I must confess that I really screwed up.
After reading Mark's reply I realized that I had the fog lights correct and decided to start checking from the beginning - with the fuses. I didn't realize that the driving / marker lights and turn signals had seperate fuses for right and and left side (also front and back for the turn signals).
After replacing several blown fuses and playing with the bulb for the turn signal in its socket all is fine.
I do need to check out if the fuse/relay chart that I have is actually for my '85 though because in the process of going though all the fuses I realized that the fuse for my interior lights is not the one on the chart I have, and apparently the central locking system is different also because when I pulled one fuse the doors all locked, but it was not the fuse for the central locking system.
Thanks again.
