Installed PorKen's EZF'r Chip in My 1985 - NICE!!
Just finished installing PorKen's EZF'r chip in my USA 1985 5 speed. What a difference!
I've only driven it up the road and back since the install (about 6 miles) but I could tell the difference immediately. While backing-out of the driveway I could immediately tell the car ran a lot smoother. As I began to accelerate through the forward gears the extra torque was immediately noticeable. The extra HP was very evident as well. I didn't feel the "lag" when accelerating that I had become accustomed to.
My 14 year old son was in the passenger seat and said that he could feel that the car ran "better". I noticed a nice grin on his face as I accelerated hard through the gears and laid him back in the seat
In summary: GREAT PRODUCT, fantastic price and super fast shipping!
I'll be taking the car out later this evening on a longer run and will post more details this evening.
Thanks goes out to PorKen for all the R&D he's done for our 928 community.
Peace,
Ken

porken.com of course.
I've been waiting patiently for this domain name - someone in Japan had it, who knows what it means - fortunately for me, it was only reserved for two years.

Ken, I'm hoping to find some time to get the chip into mine this weekend and report the results. My kids keep doing well in their track events so I keep having to go back every Friday and Saturday. It's really starting to eat into my quality time with my car.

Jeeze, Ken you got lots of new stuff I didn't know about!! Makes me almost wish I didn't already have the AA chips in my '85 so I could try yours. Heck at a paltry $44, I might still have to get some to see the differences you mentioned on your web site! Keep up the great work! Just ordered a Rad Cov'r for my '85, sounds like a neat product!

Ken, the EZ-F chip is just awesome. I just installed it this afternoon. I had the Autothority chip in it and the ***-o-dyno definitely feels an improvement. Can't wait to get it on the dyno again. Anyone who has an 85-86 should get one, you cannot believe the difference!!! Great product.

Here's an update 6 days after installing PorKen's EZF'r chip on my 1985 32V 5-speed.....
Runs and drives excellent. Not sure but I think my fuel mileage has increased (I'm going to fill up today and verify later in the week what kind of MPG I'm getting).
I've been commuting back and forth on Alcoa Hwy all week (or as we locals call it, I-Killa Hwy, due to all the crazy drivers). Round trip each day is approximately 50 miles.
The newly added low-end torque and throttle response is truly fantastic (night and day difference). As I previously stated, the driveability is now silky smooth (passengers have commented on this as well). The engine revs seamlessly throughout the entire power band without the "lag" I had became accustomed to prior to installing the chip.
Car is faster off the line. Torque will throw you back in seat. Simply excellent.
Next stop - X-Pipe.
I'll update the thread later this week with my fuel mileage for those who are interested.
Peace,
Ken

Wow, finished istall( very easy btw)test drive and immediately noticed more low-end torque and throttle response. I swear my engine runs smoother and without having to shift into 3rd or 2nd for that get up and go!
If you own a '85-'86 do the Porken upgrade makes an enjoyable car even more enjoyable especialy in city driving.
Thanks Ken!
