Finally, after the long tow truck drive from palmdale it's here. 2000$ :cool: Started it up with some starter fluid. Runs nice, just needs a tune up. The interior is horrible though. The 2nd owner used it as a trash ride for his 3000 miles with it. Exterior is good. It just has 2 small chip marks and a fingernail sized dent.

I started taking things apart to clean it. He Mickey Moused a radio job =0(
Everything is here. (The tools, jack, booklet, etc) Driverside seat needs to be replaced. Rear seats are mint! Centerconsole needs to be changed along with the dash. Plus a bunch of small things like the rear hatch foam, battery connectors etc. But overall IM HAPPY! :jumper:

On a more serious note, I hope you got a lot of cash... Cuz this thing will probably leak from every pipes and gasket. The list of things to replace or fix might get quite long.

Mine was in similar shape when I got it, so I can't throw any rocks at you, but that is a bit rough.

when you get to wanting to wash the engine plug the hole at the DS rear of the block this will help keep water out of the bell housing.
Try using some compressed air first to blow things out.
Check the belt B4 doing any more engine running

yeah you wont imagine how many cigarette buds and ash marks i found! Here's some of the stuff i'm going to get/order tomorrow:
fuel pump
fuel filter
fuel line
vac hose kit
spark plugs (going to try those "pulse plugs")
magnecor wires
distributor cap & rotor
igni coil
the green wire
Oil
oil filter
used rad from intl 928
rad cap, thermostat
coolflex hoses along with anyother rubber hose...
new bat. and connectors

wow that has to be the filthiest interior I've seen.. heck I'd be tempted to pressure wash the inside! :)

nothing on your list for the trans? drain the atf and refill with cheap dex III for now. Once you can run it up to temp, flush, change the filter and refill. Also change the diff oil once its warm (but check the fill plug before opening the drain plug).

looks like you'll be busy on the engine for a while tho! :)

And when you are working on wipers etc cover that blasted hole up! I got very very lucky this summer, but I won't count on luck again- I'll leave the rest up to your imagination! And BTW, nothing wrong with fixing up a beater, a lot of us have done/are doing this - welcome to your new shark and good luck! :thumbsup:

Good luck with the project! A full intake R&R with new fuel lines (Roger sells a ready made and measured kit reasonably priced) will clean that engine bay right up. You may have deeper issues tho, but still, you'll need to pull it apart and replace all of the rubber. Keep us posted.

Couple of door panels, some carpet, a centre vent, ash tray and a really good vacumming and it will look 100 times better. The great thing is that the interrior temp sensor is not cracked! :)

Good luck, it looks like a project but if you're up for it I guess it will be worth it in the end.

Looking forward to seeing the progress pictures.

Just get a big shop vac and go for it. Brush attachment for the engine bay, maybe.

Be careful, I wouldn't run it without an air filter, especially with all that grit in there.
