A line from Gone in 60 seconds (the 2000' remake) comes to mind, "I am tired of gutting them and stripping them down to nothing for the past decades, now I am into saving and resurrecting them. Its all about second chances now".
I guess many dismantlers feel the same way as you do Mark.

Remantling
just sayin...
The original mantling was done in Stuttgart.
I've not de-mantled one myself (yet.) But, I have to think it isn't as fulfilling as re-mantling.

With your skills and contacts the opportunity has got to be huge to rescue cars.
Expand our remanufacturer base, part the really bad cars, and put a new generation of people in these incredible vehicles.

Mark,
This is great, but I gotta say I hate this kid. 1st car is a 928 and his uncle is Mark Anderson. Some guys have all the luck.

Mark,
That car looks a little to nice for a FIRST car, maybe you can send that one to me and I'll pass on my 152k mile '81 in the same color to him...hell, he won't even notice! JEEZ! Come on brother show some love...hell, I have already brought your old race car back to life, that alone should entitle me to some 928 trading love!
Oh, as others have said, good thing I didn't have a 928 as my first car too! I'd have ended up in jail or dead as well! That said, the 928 is one hell of a tough car and can save its occupants from SERIOUS injury even in the event of a horrific crash and get a 4.5L with and auto trans and you would be HOME FREE really!

There's a show on TV called Dogtown. It's about the re-hab facility in Utah that takes in hard to impossible to adopt dogs and give them a last chance of adoption through careful 1 to 1 training and excellent medical care.
928 Intl = Sharktown.
