I would have bid up to £100 , but no more, and was just lucky to get it for £37 using an Ebay Sniper program....

All the best Brett

Ah I might have known Brett!

Happy to lose out to such a fanatical 928 fan.

I was trying to snipe using my stopwatch but miscalculated by a few seconds as I tried to be too cute. Hpwever my max bid was nowhere near £100 so had I bid in time would only have cost you about £15 extra!

Am looking forward to Brian Long's book which is en route from Amazon. They were discounting it to £23 inc free postage.

Hi

Snap lol...I also just ordered mine for £23 from Amazon.....

Regarding the Ebay thing.....I got fed up of being beaten by Sniper programs so bought "Baygenie" sniper program....I have mine set to bid 20 seconds from the end...but even if someone else gets in after that, it will bid again instantaneously even with just 1 second or less to go...so they are pretty unbeatable...

I win a LOT of 928 stuff like that and also a lot of Snap-On tools...

All the best Brett

My dad bought me this book for Christmas and I just finished reading it cover to cover! John did a GREAT job on this book and it is VERY entertaining.

Here is what I want to know... Chuck, you may know the answer to this or it might be on your site...

Were ANY '92 (ROW) or '93 (either US OR ROW) produced in Signal Green OR Maritime Blue?

Were ANY '94 or '95 (ROW or US) GTS's produced in Riviera Blue? We already know of a few Speed Yellow's...

Merry Christmas James! Don't know about Signal Green or Maritime blue but here is a Riviera Blue GTS on what was once a Porsche calendar so I have to believe the car exists somewhere.

I have pulled that VERY PICTURE (I think Nicole actually pulled it and sent it to me! Thanks Nicole) and framed it,and it is hanging on my wall in front of my '94 GTS! Surely SOMEONE in Germany must be able to track that LP back to get a VIN and then forward again to figure out where that car is!!! I am betting it was a Porsche executives car based on the plate... When I showed my wife a pic of Blue82 she actually thought it was THIS car and said, "Buy it...you have been looking for that car for 10 YEARS!" I didn't quibble about the fact that Blue82 was not THIS car! LOL!

My car is top of page 110 - 99% certain. Mr Long tells me he had no VIN info with the picture, but the background of 911SC makes it 83. Interior with gooseneck radio remote (still have it), all white leather, and wheels match mine. The pic was taken before I had the interior fixed.

JP, I LOVE THAT CAR! I saw it in the pics and was drooling all over the book! AWESOME!

Riviera Blue is a VERY NICE color! We had a couple of 993's in that color here in the Austin San Antonio area and they looked GREAT! Always wanted a GTS in that color and said something to Nicole and she sent me the page shown above out of the calendar and I had it framed! I would sell a kidney for that car!!! Especially if it were a '95 (since I already have a '94 and all! ;-)

did you ever know that Hans Stuck used to drive a PDK-equipped 928 Club Sport? i bet you did not

how many race cars did Porsche back up when it comes to the 928? a lot more than you think

it is a very well written book with some great pics...
