Are sewer lid wheels that bad?
I had listed a set of good, straight sewer lid wheels, anodized, some small curb rash on one wheel....and offered them for $250...then $200...then $175...then $150 for all four...and the rubber was 90% H=rated tires. I just wanted them out of my garage as they were left over from an earlier 928 I had owned.
I finally gave up an put them on my '88, figuring to spin the rubber off and maybe toss the wheels. They've been on the car for 6 months now...daily driven...and they're great! I don't know what I was thinking and am glad that I kept them. The tires are doing great...the wheels don't look that bad...and those are tough wheels...heavy but tough. I've decided to keep them and put the other set on (new Zrated tires) when I go to the track. Therse were a steal under someones' nose and they all passed. I'm glad./ H2 |
Nah... not bad. Just last year's fashion.

A set of polished S4 wheels (no tires or center caps) sold for $500 on ebay last week.
This is not the best place to sell unfortunately. |
stock looks really old school...but polished looks okay

I have two sets of them and a set of D90 from Andrew.

try Thesamba.com, there should be a few VW owners that would like porsche wheels on their bug. my friend bought a whole car just for the wheels.

They're actually very light, and highly affordable. And yes, out of fashion.

They are forged, which is nice, but definitely out of fashion. They are also somewhat heavy. I sold an excellent set of chromed S4 8" and 9" wheels with nearly-new tires for $500. If the wheels are scuffed and the tires are worn, then you probably won't get much for them. FWIW the shipping weight was 50 pounds each.

I had my manhole covers off the other day and rolled them up next to my 944 they looked nice compared to the cookie cutters.... Well now im in the market for some cup 1 wheels I think ...does it ever stop
