Is US economy so bad nowdays that any 928 business can afford to let someone like Jim go? I would have though he's last one to leave.

I heard the news about 10 days ago when Jim showed up over at Dr. Bobs and was shocked, couldn't believe it. I see now that my reaction wasn't an overreaction at all as most here agree.

Thinking back to this quote, i guess I had always thought Jim would be around 928INTL even after Mark if that was at all possible. I really did enjoy being able to ring over there "Can i speak to Jim?" and then we could talk about all kinds of nonsense.

I have to imagine being that he wont be in front of a computer all day he probably wont be posting as much. I sure hope that the time off can leave you some time to show up at our impromptu clinics. Your humor, knowledge and light is always welcomed!

THANKS JIM!

Funny enough, I think you actually could be great as an extra in any number of TV productions.......

"Could be"? You mean Jim didn't star in Harry and the Hendersons??

Jim, we collectively owe you enough beers to last a lifetime, for your insight, and ability to cut through the tension with common sense. Stick around and collect!

Jim,

I add my thanks to you for your service to 928 International, AND for your many postings about what does and does not work with regards to 928 interchangeability, etc. on this board for all of us owners. PLEASE continue your presence here, and I wish you the best in whatever pursuits you take.

Wow, shocking news! Jim you will be missed as a trusted source of information, ideas and solutions as well as a good friend. We always enjoyed meeting up with you at Sharktoberfest and BSing about cars, wine, dogs or anything else that happened to come up. Thank you for all of the years of help you have provided to me as well as the entire 928 community.
If you are ever up in our part of the country be sure to give us a call or drop by.

Sincerely,
Tim & Cheryl

When my first 928 went up in Smoke, Jim was the first person I called, he sold me a new set of fuel lines to keep my other one nice and shiney, and then called me back a day later and suggested I get right back on the horse. That is how I ended up with two 5 speeds!! Thank You, Jim!!

We are here for you, just let us know if we can help in any way!!

Jim, You are like an archive (I mean that in the nicest way); I can't think of anybody I quote (silently and electronically) more. When waiting for the next "set up" I hope you will be writing a trouble shooting guide for the Shark in the form of a memoire, it will set records.
now means "Rite (sic) the F'en Manual"

Best of luck.
