Damn, if i was him I would never come back here. What a bunch of ****** he thinks. What if this cat just has some moolah and wants a car now. So be it. Geez, I do but some dont care about the logistics of a 9-2-8. .....its just a car to some.

You ever wanted something bad enough for years and finally got a chance in your life to make it happen? I did and I went out on a whim and bought this 928 with the same damn attitude. I didnt care, didnt want no flak, how toos, nothing..I just HAD to have what i wanted. Then it hits after a while and you start looking for support groups............ Hi, my name is Mike.....

He's been pointed to several very nice leads, and in each case all we got was complaints.

He would HELP himself if he simply thanked each person for any and all leads and then went a pursued them himself instead of complaining that he needs to be led by the hand to each opportunity.

It also wouldn't hurt to at least pretend to have any interest at all in the actual 928 vehicle and the differences among them.

Someone with an "interest" built up over "years" for a 928 would not be asking for absolutely "anything" as long as it has low miles.

I know of a 944turbo and a 968 both with less than 30,000 miles, both clean enough to make my 928's nuts go into hibernation mode with embarrassment. PM me your contact info and I will pass it along to the owner.

Three on the tree only refers to a standard transmission.

"three on the tree" is a 3 speed auto with gear selector on the steering column

as opposed to 4 on the floor which is a manual transmission with the lever coming out of the floor.

1991 Porsche 928 GT. This is 1991 928 GT production car # 2. Just 81,324 actual and excessively documented miles. Mint and original Guards Red exterior nicely complimented by it's perfect supple tan leather interior. Fully documented since new and a former one owner car until '06. This car has just completed a thoroughly comprehensive, mechanical and aesthetic 928 rotisserie restoration and reconditioning over the last nine months. You are now looking at a true concours condition 928 GT on every level. Agonizing attention to detail was paid to every last item in bringing this GT to it's original and unmolested condition. It should also be noted that this particular GT is the only U.S. GT to be ordered with a factory leather instrument pod housing and factory leather center console. This GT will easily win all local and regional concours events and compete evenly on a national level. No expense was spared in bringing this already rare masterpiece back to "as new" condition. The entire body is simply perfect with absolutely no flaws. No chips, dings or scratches anywhere. Everything about this car is like new condition. Mechanically, the car has just recieved the following items; complete timing belt/water pump service including all tensioners and pulleys and all associated items, pan gasket, valve cover gaskets, intake gaskets, both knock sensors, seals, powdercoating of the intake and valve covers, entire clutch assembly including the disc, pressure plate, throw out bearing, pilot bearing, guide tube, release arm, rotors, pads, tires, retro-fitting and reconditioning of the AC system both front and rear, correct Bilstein shocks, Bosch spark plugs and OEM plug wires just to mention a few. In addition, it should also be stated that the underside of this GT is just as nice as it's topside. The entire car has been returned to it's original, unused condition. It looks, runs and drives like a brand new 928 GT! Regardless of mileage, this is most likely the nicest and newest 1991 928 GT in the country.

Furthermore, this GT is 100% original and still retains all of it's original equipment and accessories. All of the following items are still intact, accounted for and in perfect condition; all tools, unused collapsable spare tire, Porsche spare tire compressor, original extra belts, jack, lug wrench, cargo cover, cargo net, both front and rear belly pans, emergency sunroof opener, owners and maintenance manuals with all supplement manuals, original black leather Porsche binder, original key with lighted Porsche crest keyhead and the original wheel locks with key and caps, just to mention a few.

During production, this GT was pulled from it's general three week assembly process and entered into the Porsche Exclusive Program (option code 09991). While there, it received the only leather instrument pod housing and leather center console found on any of the U.S. GT's, including all years from 1989-1991. These two options alone amounted to over $3000! During it's visit to the Exclusive program, this GT also received the upgraded Porsche CD-2 in-dash stereo for it's originally stated Blaupunkt Reno 2 cassette. Take note that this is a very special and unique GT here.

The list of this GT's option codes are as follows:

C02: equiped with catalytic convertor
XD4: painted Porsche crest rim caps
046: bumpers with increased impact absorbers
158: Blaupunkt Reno 2 cassette radio
418: protective side moldings
474: sport suspension (Bilsteins shock absorbers)
498: without rear model designation
570: high output AC (rear AC)
650: sunroof
935: supple leather seats (rear)
980: supple leather seats (front)
09991: Porsche Exclusive Program

Not only was there an exhaustive and no expense spared effort put into bringing this 928 to unattainable aesthetic and mechanical standards in today's 928 market, but in also putting this entire car back to it's original drive and feel as well. As any true 928 enthusiast knows, most 928's tend to drive very heavy, taking bumps very hard and giving a true feeling of the actual weight of these cars. So one of my primary goals was to return this GT to it's "as new" smooth, quiet and comfortable feel and drive as well. I have met that goal. Not only does this GT look brand new, but it's mechanical and driveability is brand new as well. This car is simply unmatched on every level.

To buy a 928 with less miles than this car would be like buying one with higher miles. This very GT is the pinacle of the 928 experience. It's as close to buying a new 928 as your ever going to get today. My perfect reputation of selling nothing but the finest concours condition 928's is fully intact, so please bid with confidence. Multiple references are readily available upon request. And by all means, feel free to contact me anytime with any additional questions, picture requests or to schedule a PPI at your expense. If your considering buying a different 928 than this one, don't! This is by far the finest example available, period!

Yeah, I found the similarity in the screen name interesting too. Thought someone would have said something long before now. I don't think Todd would be asking for help though, & especially here on RL, due to his extensive resources & knowledge in how to track down 928s for sale. He prides himself in his abilities from years of experience in buying & selling 928s. And even if it was Todd & he had a buyer with big bucks needing a pristine low mile 928 asap, he knows Wilhoit & Chuck, & surely others, so he would have just gone to the source himself.

Who knows for sure who it is. There does however seem to be a bit of attitude while asking for help, or at least a lack of appreciation.
