I have 235/40 fronts tires. Fit nice... look at above post.

Do you have CIII's on yours? I thought your had the Carrera Lightweights... with difference offsets.

I thought so. Don't those have front offsets nearer ET50, as opposed to the CIII at ET57?
Reason I ask is because it may be difficult to fit 235's with the lower offset.

BTW, I love those wheels!

Yep the fronts are 50mm and the rears are 65mm. I need to check the calculator to see if the 235 or 245 will work. Jason

Ok checked the calculator and 235 will stick out 2.5mm past the fender and the 245 will stick out 7.5mm so I guess 225 is the widest for the street.

I think you will rub on the fender with anything wider than 225 on an 8" ET50 wheel. 235 tires on your ET50 would stick out 2mm further than my 245 tires on ET57, and I think I'm cutting it really close.

AH, that is what we call those then... They are my favorite Porsche factory wheels ever. They say they are a little bit delicate though and break from time to time and with hard use. LOVE the look!

My 225 hit when pushed, or big speed bumps.

The fenders need to be rolled like the 89 928 GT

P.S. But I think they are the best looking rim, and really easy to clean!

Hi, everyone, first time 928 owner here. Just bought an 81 auto. It's going to the shop in two weeks for body work and fresh GP white paint. I am wanting to start with Porsche rims, so I am planning to go with the previously suggested specs. This setup was on an 87 (red one above). Is there any real difference between the wheel space from 81 to 87? The stock wheels are 16x7. The extra inch doesn't cause rubbing during turns? Thanks everyone, glad to be part of the club.

Front: 18"x8" et57mm Carrera III w/ ContiSport 225/40ZR18
Rear: 18"x10" et58mm Carrera III w/ ContiSport 285/30ZR18
