Default Spotted, Austin off-red GTS

Saw an off red (not sure exactly what the color name is) 928 GTS on S. Lamar in Austin today. Is that someone on here?

I can't remember ever noticing one on the road before, then as soon as you buy one they are everywhere.

Yup, had to be Tom. Just checked his profile and saw a pic of his car. I REALLY doubt there are two cars that color in Austin. :0

Tim,
That was Tom for sure - when are you going to post pictures of the twin to my car - 79 Cashmere???

It looks like I need some rear hatch spring lifts

Those are struts that hold the hatch and hood up and yes, you probably need two of them on each end of the car if it is like most of mine! Those things just don't last!

Glad to have you as part of the group! I need Tom to come by the house to say hi. I still have not seen that car live and in person yet!

If you have not yet joined the 928 Owners Club you might think about doing that. Nice voice to PCA that the 928 is NOT DEAD YET!

Come by and say "hi" some time! I am up in the Cedar Park area!

James, I will have to stop by soon, I really want to see one of those blue cars like the one in your avatar.

If you do see Tom's car live, you won't miss it
We saw it from like three blocks away.

I think they last, hell they are 20-30 years old, how long are they supposed to go?

Yup, Raspberry. My girlfriend thought it was a pretty color. Although it seems pretty rare, it would not have been my first choice.

Speaking of odd colors, whats up with that copper one of yours?

Barring a bad call today from Mat, we should make it up to DFW Friday afternoon. If we get in early enough I am hoping to stop by Rog's shop.

I work on SW Parkway, but live about 30mi outside town, in Briarcliff. It is just outside Pacebend Park on Lake Travis.
I have only owned my 928 a few weeks so far. I met a few people Sunday in the Marble Falls park, but didn't get there until a little after noon, so there was only a few people still there.
