Default Rear "Porsche Reflector" warping

Has anyone ever had a problem with the rear reflector panel warping? As far as I know my car has never been rear-ended but recently the reflector started to bow out--if I pull it out I can see where someone (I doubt they come this way from the factory) tried to velcro the center in--well it fooled me 'cause I didn't notice this until the velcro stopped sticking. Anyway, if this is more of a warping problem than a "the car's been rear-ended before" problem has anyone come up with a fix for this...

Almost everyone to a certain degree. Check the thread search. Randy has a good fix and so do several others. Some are more invasive, securing with glued bolts, others are not. Very common. Good luck. G

Hey Roger - after you showed me how useful they were I started using them too - not for this - but many other things... (I just don't mention them much....)

You can also search for "elevator bolts". This is a small modification of Roger's method that I did about 1 1/2 year ago, and the panel is still flat and looks good (well - except for the TONKA lettering in some people's opinion!!!).
Cheers,

Gary,

Those are graceful looking seats in your avatar pic. I like the light lreather with the dark piping to contrast beautifully.

Hi Gary, Thanks for the elevator bolt modification tip. After looking at all the various posts it seems like panel tape gives the most reliable/durable results. Fix it once the right way, be done.
