I've got Sterling looking at taking either that, or some S4's to the guy who does his cams and see what we can work out. We've got several sets of S3's here to toy with, it's going to depend on cost on what Doc goes with.

Doc this is the same car from 08-11-04 ? .... " The new owner of this 1990 928GTalso owns
1984 Ferrari Mondial Cabrio
1973 Matra Bagheera S1
1970 Lamborghini Espada S1
1963 Studebaker Avanti R2
1961 VW bug oval window
1937 Cord Beverly
He turned up on the Landsharkoz website this morning this is what he got.
"1990 GT 5speed with the correct M28.47-85xxxxx engine and G2855 trans.
It also has the option code (474)for the sport suspension, the twin
tailpipes, wide rims, shorty shifter and the correct tach with 6600RPM
redline. It is the fourth from the last made in 1990. In short, the
real deal, Uh-huh. Now the best part. I just paid $6000USD (not
Kroners, Sterling, Yaun, or some other currency), that's 6000USD!!! It
runs, drives, shifts, AC blows cold-ish, radio works, most of the
electricals work, but needs some TLC. The interior is complete with
the drivers seat thrashed and the carpet shrinking from sitting
outside in Texas USA(durn hot). The paint is Guards red, tan and black
interior, and will need a complete paint job soon due to some road
rash and a ding in the pass door."
The one you bought for $6,000 .... it sucks that you broke a camshaft but seriously this car does not owe you much.

The one and the same.
Damn Jim, what sort of filing system do you have on these cars? The last comment is why he has considered parting it only to be talked out of it by the DFW crew.

I am blessed or cursed depending on how you look at it with a very high level of recall of things which I read.... and I read a LOT on this forum !! $6,250 was what I remembered but Doc stated $6,000 in his Australia post...

I'm bummed to hear this Doc. I hope the damage is minimal, the prognosis is good and that it goes forward quickly.

The simple way out is put a set of S-4 cams in the car....slight change in power but a running driving car.... figure $500 for a set of 4 exchange ! for three good GT cams .

Here's the pics I took today.
Doesn't tell anything but the cam broke. We've not done anything to the car since it went.

I would even go so far as to say the cam looked like it may have been loose on the snout and from the back and forths it snapped off, see the small discolorations from the spider support at the ends of the travel

Memerlin, what you note is the MAIN reason I want to see the bolt. I bet it is in perfect condition. All the cams I have seen fail have all failed because that bolt has not been properly tightened, or it has backed out.
