LH jetronic relay failure symptons and replacement
Over the weekend my 928 S2 failed to start. It would crank, but it would not fire. After using the WSM I found the relay feeding the LH jetronic brain failed. Only getting 7.2 VDC on plug X pin 9. Ordered 4 new relays from DR.
For 2 months before this failure, I noticed the engine running a little rough, less power, and when the car was cold, it would take a long time to start. Now, after replacing this relay all is well again.
This got me thinking, as these relays age it is probably a good idea to replace these "mission critical" relays. Every 10 years or so???
Has anyone had any similar experiences?
