That's likely the car I saw for sale then because it was a very clean auto S4 with those wheels etc.

Who did the repairs?

Also, I'll be in NOLA this weekend and can look at this car in person for anyone interested. Heck, I can even put it on my trailer and bring it close to Atlanta if needed.

The repairs were done by a small shop in Alexandria, LA named Thomasee Paint & Body. He does a lot of work for car nuts in this area, and he did some repairs on my friend's Ferrari. I bought many of the parts for the repair from Roger @ 928srus.

Again, the car is not 100% PERFECT, but it is a nice car at a pretty good price and for someone with more time than I have, it could be made really nice.

OH I FORGOT TO MENTION: (and I hope I describe this correctly)

The arm on the motorized part of the latch for the trunk release is broken, so the trunk latch does not function properly. I was in talks prior to Gustav with Roger @ 928srus to secure a replacement. I forgot to mention that in my initial post.

A friend of mine took the pics for me. I don't know why he did not close the door.

Do you have a URL for the sale??? I have a friend in LA who might be interested...doubt his wife will let him jump on this one but, he has an S and would LOVE to expand...again, w/ kids, I kind of doubt he will be able to but this would certainly be a GREAT choice for him and pretty close in price I would think...

PM me a URL or post it here if you prefer.

Thanks

I should tell you that it is advertised on New Orleans Craigslist & Autotrader for SIGNIFICANTLY more than what I am asking here. The $8,000 price that I am asking here is my ROCK BOTTOM number, and I thought I would cut through the BS with my fellow Rennlisters and give them the opportunity to buy it since I know it would go to a good, Porsche loving home.

Send your buddy a link to this thread. Tell him that he should show his wife THIS THREAD because if he sees it advertised somewhere else, the price will be $10,000 or more.

BTW, the longer I keep the car, the more issues will be addressed, and the price will of course adjust (upward) accordingly! So someone PLEASE steal this thing from me now!!!!!

If I still own this car on Monday, I will purchase the spoiler from you.

Certainly.

My business trip has lasted a little longer than expected, so I am still not back in New Orleans. I should be back tomorrow, so expect the pics within the next couple of days.

Thanks.

Here are some more pics. I detailed the car and drove it around this weekend. On a couple of the pics, the hood is released, that is why the lines don't appear flush. I also noticed that the paint blend on the driver side is much better than on the passenger side...the photos show this, although the transition is much more subtle in person than the picture makes it appear (ie, the pics make it look worse than it is). I also noticed that the fuel guage float may be stuck because the fuel guage registers full when it wants to, and the bulbs in the instrument cluster may need to be changed eventually...they are not as bright as they could be. Other than that, I have listed everything in this thread that is wrong with the car....Please let me know if you have any questions...
