Default New Zealand 928s

Hey guys,

After seeing a lot of topics regarding runs and get togethers in the US and UK (and feeling a little bit upset that I can't turn up to them) I thought it'd be interesting to see how many (if any) other kiwi 928 owners there are floating about on these forums, and if there are any, whether it would be viable to try to have a get together, even if it is only so I don't feel so alone out here!

Your best bet is to get on the nz928 yahoo group:

http://au.groups.yahoo.com/group/nz928/

Smiffy is on there too, along with a bunch of other NZ 928'ers - they helped me find a decent independent for a PPI when I bought my car sight0unseen from Auckland

You are not alone, although you are on the "wrong" island.

And there might soon be a new owner for what must be one of the last 928s - first on the road in January 1997!

Altharos

Your definitely not the only one in auckland.

Eric in Pakuranga has 2 928s and the remains of a third - PM me and I'll give you his email address, Eric knows of others but I've forgotten.

I seem to recall there are others in Dunedin but I can't remember where as in which forum or email list i heard of them from

welcome to Rennlist and 928 ownership

There used to be two 928s on Waiheke but we moved to OZ.

After seeing pictures of NZ, maybe all of us are on the wrong islands.

What MY car have you got?

There seem to be quite a few 928's in NZ. In central otago I know of at least 5 (with a permanent population of <50,000). The south Island is a great place to drive - low traffic volumes, some excellent roads and, if you know what youre doing, few cops.

The 1995 GTS looks like it would be an excellent buy for some lucky person with the money.

Hi,
Jim Reay - I was once a Kiwi - now a nuetralised Ozzie. My Nephew is Wayne Hillary, he lives at Outram and has a 928S4 - owned it for some years. He is coming to visit me in Brisbane in about three weeks. Contact him if you wish - he is an expert mechanic. PM me also if you care to

928Myles - I used to live in Cromwell and once owned the Mazda Dealership - my ex.wife still lives there

Hi,
James - Even though I live in a beautiful part of Australia, in a small community on the edge of the Great Barrier reef, I can assure you that NZ is a great place to live. One of my sons is an MD and does locum work near me here from time to time. He and his family always happily return home to his farmlet near Dunedin

It is a truely beautiful country and the roads, especially in the South Island, are a 928 owner's dream come true. I have peddled Alfas, Benzes, Lancias, MGs, hot Mitsubishi's etc with great delight there over many thousands of miles especially around Queenstown, Tekapo and other such areas. Great stuff

I believe I have at least 7 crossovers in New Zealand, must be some 928's there!

I'd be interested to know if you see my old RubinrotMettalic '83 kicking around still, especially if it's still sporting the OOIOIO number plate.
