Default Do I drive my wife to the hospital in the Shark?

My wife is due. I have about a half an hour drive to the hospital. Do I risk the water braking in it or take the commuter car?
Could be one the best excuses I have ever had for speeding.

The water will probably either break while she's at home or at the hospital. So it's really about her comfort. What does she say?

Andrew, Haven't really discussed the options with her yet. Wanted to make up my mind before presenting her with the choices.

Consider how easy it is to get her in and out of the Shark

Andrew, she's not pissed. We haven't talked about it. If she joined Rennlist, I am in way more trouble than this thread could start!
Damstrom, she walks 4 miles a day, she'd get in and out easier than my fat a$$.

She will be when you present it to her, whether she want to go in the 928 or not.

It's all about thinking about her needs, and most women (not all) will feel that your desire to take her in the 928 is driven by a selfish need to fulfill some latent desire to drive the 928. And of course she'll be right becasue all men are without compassion for their wives.

Also have you thought about parking the car at the hospital for up to 48 hours? Do you really want to do that? It's not like you're dropping her off.

Andrew,
I do appreciate it, but my wife won't think twice about it. The choice of cars to her is no sort deal. Of course if she stated a prefernce, she would get what she wanted. The point is I really don't think she will care at all. It'll be very casual. Also, this is not our first kid, so I will be driving the car back and forth as I look after our 3 year old.

Use the shark! It'll get her there faster!

Just put a couple of towels on her seat and it will be fine. She'll probably break her water at home, as most do, so there won't be much left to leak on the way to the hospital.

Trust me. BTDT!

Oh....and congrats on the new addition!!

This is funny, I had a girl I used to like ask me how when she was pregnant how was she going to be getting in and out of 928. For some reason all girls always complain their underwear shows when they get out of my car is that a factory option?? Anyways I agree with Frank I'd leave it at home as there should be enough to worry about.

BTW Congratulaions!! Boy or Girl? Either way make sure they grow up loving Porsches

Do not speed. Drive carefully.

It's not April first, so good luck and God Bless.

CONGRATS....AND ARE YOU CRAZY?

My wife complains about getting car sick every time we get in the shark (something to do with turning to fast ), I wouldn't even think about trying to get her in the car when she was pregnant.

Don't forget that regardless of what you think now she WILL be uncomfortable and getting her out of the low to the ground car will be a pain and something she won't soon forget.

Parting comment, the last thing you want to worry about when you're at the hospital is if your car is getting a door ding etc.

Take the DD and congrats again.
