Too funny ! the front wheels are turned so you do not NOTICE how far out the wheel sits , the offset is WAY WRONG ! Early 911 wheels have a normal offset only late model went to near 928 highly negative wheels.

"One of the wires going from starter to engine must be connected properly and that will allow the engine to start. Other than that the engine and transmission are in excellent condition. Thus the car will probably need to be towed."
Must be a bitch to attach that wire.

Rare 1980 options of ABS and dual airbags. Sounds like my ex-girlfriend and her mother come with the deal.

Awwww! The old "run's fine, just need to connect a wire. Bring trailer." trick. I sell all my non-running cars this way.
I guess he connected the wire long enough to determine that "...the engine and transmission are in excellant condition." and then disconnected it and forgot how it goes together again. Works for me.

That "engine runs perfect but I can't show you right now becuase a wire fell off" option is worth a $5-8k discount off of a $2k sales price on a no-interior car.
I admire people who haven't been able to justify finishing a project because the finished value doesn't justify the expense or time. Yet they are willing to represent the opportunity as solid gold for the buyer. The idea of representing it accurately as a parts/project car doesn't cross their minds.
Oh, and you'll neeed a set of wheels and tires for it.

Guy yesterday calls with" I just bought an 84 928 automatic....never had a Porsche before I got it for $400. How much for a fender and a hood and a radiator I need to get it running ....Oh Yea the interior is trashed....But the guy he bought it from said it used to run good " I told him ALL CARS RAN GOOD AT ONE TIME ! Nice guy has hotrods , putting a Viper V-10 in an old Cadillac . I told him that right now the most he could lose is $400, he would NEVER be in that position AGAIN ! He had several projects going on and no particular attachment to this or any other 928, he just thought it was CHEAP .

I'm guessing the Viper crashed b/c of the crummy brakes and somehow the engine survived, so now he has an engine and nothing to put it in but an "old Cadillac" Wow. With the other stuff you mentioned about a $400 Pcar, might be a nice guy, but I don't think he has his window all the way up.

That car doesn't know what it is. Old wheels, new spoiler, non-existent airbags. And I may be wrong on this one, but if it's a Euro car why does it have DOT sealed beam headlights?
