Default coil earth

hi, just a quick question. as you look at the car from the front my left hand coil has the earth strap hanging down and attached to nothing. its fixed to coil bracket but where does the other end go.

Assume it's an S4/GT or GTS. The earth strap bolts to the engine lifting bracket with an M6 bolt. Engine lifting bracket is just aft of the drivers side (UK RHD car ?) distributor cap fastened to the side of the cylinder head. The hole for the M6 bolt is behind the big hole that you would shackle a chain to if you were lifting the engine.

If it's not an S4/GT/GTS - I've no idea

There is a list or link of "earth" points in the new visitor thread. Lots of other good stuff in there. Good luck.
