Sorry to tell you this but I dont believe that has just rolled up.

I think when you pull the bumper cover off you will find that the bumper shock mount has been pushed in some.

If you replace the bumper cover, don't throw the mashed on away. These are starting to get scarce enough that even the dented ones have some value.

Here's is a pic of the driver side shock. The mounting area looks to be okay. Maybe not perfect, but I think close enough.

I'm wondering why the bumper shock didn't collapse (or did you pull it out again?).

It looks like the impact may have been down rather than straight in, so the frame took the brunt of it, like you were using solid bumper shocks.

I did not pull the bumper back out, but his bumper was on top of the bumperettes (thus the downward force), and i think when we separated, it probably pulled the bumper back out. At least that's my thoery.

I'm pretty sure it is supposed to be straight, I have pics of mine, but not here.

It looks like it scraped its way in and back out, which is why I thought you'd pulled it. That shock is not collapsed anymore and it doesn't look like it went all the way in. It's also canted a little, like it was pushed down, consistent with the P/U bumper being over your bumper.

For comparison, here's the pass side. It actually looks worse to me.

It would appear from your passenger side that the car has been in a previous incident and was not fixed properly.

I think the damage I am refering to will become alot more apparent when you pop the cover off.

Andrew - major bummer. Glad it wasn't a F250/350 that hit you! Take your time and get it fixed correctly. Good luck.

Thanks H.
I already have a line on a cover in Guards Red. I may try to pick it up this weekend. If it doesn't work out, I'll give you a call.
