Interesting Supercharged GTS on E-Bay
Anybody know this car?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-...m110260755717&
Looks interesting. I am trying to figure out what some of the extra plumbing is in the engine bay. Looks like somebody put a lot of work into this project. I"ll be curious as to what the market "bears".

rear seat belts...
Is anyone really crazy enough to want to sit in the back of an overpowered machine like that... ?
had to say it... the rear seat belts alone are quite impressive...

Looks like the first time he listed it, the bidding stopped at 17,050.

It's on 928registry.org too it looks like... Sounds like a pretty nice car. No idea what he has the reserve set at though.

It looks like the one that belongs to a guy named Joe Dyer (sp). The original supercharger work was done by Projekt 928 (Munck) if I'm not mistaken. It was the topic of many a thread here on Rennlist. If it is the car I'm thinking of, the guys spent a fortune on this car.

Yup Joe Dyers GTS...... Nicely done too.....I think he dyno's around 450whp.... I ran some autocrosses with him....where he was within a second of two of the top time of the day...in a full weight automatic GTS....not too shabby!

Does look nicely done - cosmetically (except PCV plumbing) and functionally it looks well thought out...
Nice looking Air/Water IC and looks like an oil recovery system plumbed into the PCV set-up - presumably it has a sump drain back somehow. The radiator, IC, brace, plumbing & general layout look really good - obviously very expensive to implement 1 off.
The pressure relief valve seems to have some extra vacuum control mechanism at the rear of the DS head? what is that?

Gee - I was about to post the Ebay ad.
The extra plumbing which was never properly hidden is vapor recovery from a custom can on top of the valve cover to an expansion tank. As we all know the GTS is prone for some blow-by and after 30 minutes of track WOT, the small can would fill. I even have a pump never connected to pump the expansion tank back into the sump.
Dyno'd by DEVEK at 525 crank and 440 RWHP, 91 octane, 5.5 psi. The heads are really opened up.
My reserve is $40k, but I'm motivated, so if anyone is interested, email me at email@joedyer.com.

Lets see...........where did I put that spare $40,000. I know its around here somewhere.
Damn it, wouldn't you know it. Can't find it anywhere.
Seriously, it looks beautiful. Would love to buy that car if I could swing the cash. But, alas, I can't.
As far as the rear seats go, I have a couple of kids who would love to use those for joy rides. Would those qualify as childrens car seats?

Charley - yep, shoulder straps using the brakets on top of the rear shock tower.
Shawn - there are still a few counties in CA that are exempt from BAR smog laws. That coupled with AAA as the DMV gets it through....
