So...he sold stuff to listers without much of a complaint..and so far hasn't paid for something he said he wanted (but was not shipped..so the seller is out maybe some time and a few bucks for boxes)...and he gets banned...

there has to be more...maybe his history isn't stellar..but ban-able?....can we say "Minority Report"

Tom,
We all have different standards. You may have shrugged this issue off. After weeks of broken promises on Marty's part, I felt it prudent to post my frustrations here.

I did not ask for him to be banned. If Marty wanted to tell his side of the story, he could have joined the fun before the gavel dropped. He was, after all, on Rennlist almost daily and most certainly saw my posting.

OK, let's give Martin a chance to 'make it right'.

I've sent him an email asking him to square things with Andreas.

As soon as Andreas tells me all has been worked out, the ban will be lifted.

I'm assuming Andreas is a reasonable man who will accept a sincere attempt at reconciling this situation.

I fully understand your frustration..and I do understand that you didn't get him banned...I was more curious as to why he got banned...thinking something else had happened behind the scenes that we weren't privy to... If he screws people.then ban him..but for now...it's buyer beware...it's a small rennlist community.....word travels fast...

Re-reading your post..I'm betting he found some other wheels and figured he would pass on yours..without telling you.. (just a SWAG).

I guess this is becoming the standard operating procedure on Ebay....bid for and item..win...and then decide if you really want it...meantime the seller has to re-list etc..

It's like calling dibs on something...and then not following through..frustrating..
Good luck..

I just saying that he was technically capable. I wasn't vouching for his biznez practices.

I say ban him. He didn't buy my '81, like he said he might.

Ban Tom. M too. He's slow and just gets in the way.

Ban Andrew, too.

In fact, ban everyone from WA, they're trouble.

Oregon is the one true hub for 928 performance.

interesting thread. He dicked me too. I asked about rear quarter trim moulding when he was selling his rear quarter glass a few weeks back. He said he had them, quoted a price. I pm'd for one side, thought we agreed on price, then he said someone else asked first and no sale to me. No big deal, but no one else posted for the trim in that thread, let alone before me. I shrugged it off then, but may as well chime in now. He may be a blast at a party, but I won't do business with him again...

@#%#$%@#@

I took the a/c compressor I bought from him out of the box to clean the thick grime covering it and discovered the LOWER MOUNT IS BROKEN. He represented that the compressor was still in his car and working when the sale was made.

EDIT: Marty is communicating with me via email. He's either going to figure out how to make the compressor work or issue a refund.

wow, all of this makes me glad I'm one of the lucky ones who didn't have problems, aside for a 2 week delay in shipping...
