Griffiths A/C compressor
I recently installed the Griffiths compressor kit in my car after a compressor clutch failure. I am very pleased with the performance, in fact it is working too well , this morning I was getting center vent temps of 22 degrees with the fan on low and an outside temp of 80 with 90 percent humidity. I guess that I need a new freeze switch! It seems to cool the car well even on 95 degree South Carolina days. On my twenty minute commute home in the evening I can start with a very hot interior (black leather) and have a too cold car by the time I get home.At $699 for the kit which includes the compressor, hoses, receiver/dryer, and o rings it is a bargin. Took about 5 hours to install from start to finish including a two hour evacuation of the system. I would reccommend this kit very highly. Another feature of the compressor is that being a swash plate design it is much quieter and places less load on the motor when it is running.null

Bruce,
I have one of the Griffith kits on my car as well, and am equally satisfied with the compressor. I live in New Orleans and drive a Blk/Blk shark- and it still does the job. I fully endorse the kit and believe it is a great solution at a reasonable price.

Hello
Some 928 ( Well i think 9 from 10 from my german based observation ) have a adjustable ranko switch. You will find it under the plastic cover from the wipermotorarea/cowl. Every good AC service can adjust it to the new demands.
I think Griffiths can cover that.
