Sexy avatars
Guys...no sermon intended, but we're stepping on to a slippery slope here! Eventually, someone will post an avatar that the majority will find offensive, and then we'll be wrestling with the ugly issues of censorship and freedom of speech. Let's keep the Rennlist 928 discussion board focused on the sexy car we drive and love.
Thanks,
Dave Goyne

I agree, the breasts are just to much. One thing I always have liked about Rennlist is the professionality blended with humor.
I have never come here to watch tit's though.

Is mine offensive?
Come on there is nothing wrong with stuff being sexy. Its not ****, infact I grabbed this off a website that is mostly visited by kids. www.teamxbox.com
That site is heavily monitored and if this is acceptible on a kids website it should be on Porsche.

My personal opinion is that, if the administrator of the board has not found the avatar offensive, it's up to the individual members to request of each other to remove or modify an avatar that he or she finds offensive. Perhaps a personal email might be the proper vehicle.
There's a bodacious pair of legs in one of the avatars. Is that offensive? There are some wheels I don't like and a few colors that turn me off. Should I complain?
The slippery slope can be defined in several ways, one is the fall into pornography, which I think is far from the fact, and the second is the fall into censorship, which, I think, is much closer.

Like one guys said I find the 914 offensive to look at. Other people might have a Ford image on a Porsche board that is offensive.
No matter what you can't make everyone happy 100% of the time. People will always complain and bitch about something in life. The key is tolerance to diversity in order for everyone to get along.
Mine avatars are more distracting than anything. They are meant to make you smile and tobe fun, not exactly erotic. Perhaps it evokes certain emotions in people they surpress or wish not to deal with entirely.
Hell, I drool over Porsches 50x more than any avatar or image.
If there is enuff complaining over it then I'll be happy to change it.

You must see, Dave, that your post IS an attempt at censorship.
This isn't the Sesame Street forum.

With all of the increased sensitivity in the workplace concerning diversity, harassment, and correctness, I would be unwilling to walk away from my computer with the avatar in question visible. At home, I couldn't care less! At work, I have to care.
My point is...it has nothing to do with 928 Porsches, which is why I randomly check Rennlist when my work schedule permits. Now I am concerned about the future propriety of viewing Rennlist at work. It's no biggie...I'll just wait until I'm home. Keep your shirt on...or take it off, as you see fit.
