My '89 changes from kilometers to MPH at the stalk. Bottom left lever not the turn signal one.

It looks like you are missing the cover and filter for the smog pump. Or did you take it off to clean?

That would be the thing that looks like a cup holder between where the intake hose openings are.

Sweet car by the way!

I think I remember reading somewhere that changing back and forth using that method was not available in 1989 models....could someone confirm or deny???? Dean
My 89GT worked as Andrew described and I've also done it on 89 S4's.

I also noticed your missing the jump point cover and the weather stripping on the edge of the hood opening just aft of the cover location. Both are important at keeping the electrical connections dry and corrosion free. get corrosion in that big connector and all sorts of problems raise their ugly head.

Incidently, VERY nice find. Just needs some TLC for minor issues.

You are correct. It is missing the filter and cap and hose too. Will need to find those somewhere.

Thanks for the kind words.

Hi Jim...yes the jump point cover is gone. I need to replace that soon. Not sure what you mean about missing weatherstripping??? I need to check into that.
