prnd32 bulb replacement in dash?

In my '88 S4, the '3' indicator only comes on if the shift lever is moved from '2'. Pulling it back from 'D' only turns OFF the 'D' indicator.
Oh, and the '2' indicator NEVER comes on.

Does that indicate (sorry) that an adjustment is needed at the switch for '3' and likely a bulb replacement for '2'?

There's not any adjustment at the switch, really - only alignment. It's a self-contained unit.

Sounds like the contacts are worn on it. Only option is replacement.

It is relatively easy to swap out.
