It will eventually happen if it continues this way. I mean, how many warning does a person need? If mods are not allowing to post a specific thread, and you keep trying to start a new thread, someone will get banned. Why not discussing the turbo thread on pelican itself where Kuhn is a member?

Gio, because Pelican, as cool as it is, is no where near the resource our beloved Rennlist is.

We need to agree to disagree on this one. I'm actually 50/50 on this thread.

Ah, now I see where you are going with this. Trust me, my comments are in no way trying to stay on anyones good side here. At the same time I'm not going to go out of my way to **** anyone off.

I'm sticking to my original statement - there is no conspiracy against turbo 928's on Rennlist. Never has been and there never will be. That is the side of the fence I'm on here.

It's just going to get worse and worse...eventually..I'll probably become a user...I have no interest in sponsoring Internet Brands...When it was a John D one man show..It was worth it..

Seems many of the big names are growing weary of rennlist too...they seem to post less and less..here ..but are available on other boards for open discussion..

in the memory of Ed R...YMMV..

I agree that this site is over moderated.... but hey, its a private site so what ever floats their boat I suppose...

You can always go to Pelican and ask the guys over at The Island of Lost Toys about the twin turbos. But, you know, it really would be nice to be able to consolidate all valuable info and resources about 928's in one place...

It would be nice to know why the thread was deleted.
Was the whole topic out of bounds and it took the mods some time to stumble upon it...was it that someone posted a link to the web site where the non-sponsor sells the twin turbo...was it someone posted a pic of Paris Hilton showing her blow off valve?!?

WTF! if they don't tell us what's wrong how are we supposed to know what is and isn't allowed?!?
If the first twenty some odd posts were OK but then someone posted something offensive then just delete the offending post and replace it with the explanation of why a post was removed. The way it's working now it leaves open all sorts of speculation that attracts the trolls...

My guess is someone got his panties in a twist regarding the-twin-turbo-guy-who's-name-shall-not-be-mentioned and are using the 'we protect the paying sponsors' excuse to trample on anything that remotely resembles positive commentary about the guy who's name is unspeakable.

Of course I could be wrong...but then again I'll never know because they just delete the whole damn thread without bothering to explain!

Well said Aggie(dont know your real name) Any how this recent problem compounded by other less recent problems have started Rennlist on a downhill slide. I will let my m-ship run out and look in time to time as a user. Also I became a member at Pelican a while back, and will concentrate an effort to help expand their presence in the 928 world. Everytime I see a Porsche I seek out its owner and give them Rennlist information. No longer. Nobody will give a Ho's *** what I say in this post, but I said it.

Keep in mind that Tony has a great site..as does John Pirtle...and the 928 Oc site has some tidbits of info....also..all the great minds not on rennlist regularly are available in other places..lists and by direct contact..

I find that getting a good search on rennlist is tough...and usually leads to someones personal page with information posted on procedures..

Pelican...well..just crap over there for now..perhaps as people migrate..it might get better..but I doubt it..

Like I said, some of you are reading WAY too much into this, IMHO.

Or, you are too new because threads like "those" (not turbo threads, so don't even go there) were deleted on a very regular basis in the past. It's been very calm around here lately, in a good way.

I just mixed my first cocktail for the evening, so I'm stepping out of this thread before I say too much

The Pelican powers that be have made it clear there will be no talk about any vendor (or user) that offers goods or services that compete with Pelican.

A 928 forum without 928 International, 928 Specialists, 928 Motorsports, Roger etc... Well, you get the idea.

Yes Pelican does sell 928 parts.
