I am in need of someone's help that works on their own 1982 928 porsche. My boyfriend is a porsche enthusiatist and works on his own. He is having some difficulty adjusting the idle. IT idles at too high a rate. Any suggestions??? I would also like to find out where I can get a manuel that has diagrams that would be useful in working on his vehicle. I APPRECIATE ANY ASSISTANCE I CAN GET!!!!

Swinger, may I stongly suggest getting ahold of one of the "big three" to get an direct answers to both of your questions-

Oh, by the way,,,I have a copy of that 928 Chilton manual. I will peruse through it and see what information it offers and post it here for you. That manual only covers 79-to 81 cars but I think it may not be to far of a stretch for the 82.

I've got an '82 also and do my own work but can't help you out on why it idles fast unless its the simple adjustment already mentioned.

On the diagrams, I may be of more help. We've (groups of people on the list) converted the '78-82 parts fiche and the shop manual microfiche to CD. Mail me off line if you're interested jim928@ptd.net
