I'm excited about this trip. It should be beautiful weather and we will have some great photo opportunities.

Cobey - your's is sick too? How sick is it?

And I'd be riding with Nicole (who was so nice to offer to let me ride with her) if I wasn't going to be going to the NASCAR race on Sunday.

I'm going to have to pass, though I would very much like to go. Though she is feeling fine right now, my wife has been ordered to stay on bedrest the rest of her pregnancy (until August 27!) due to some complications. Thus, I can't venture too far away as she is not supposed to get up and do stuff at all. I've asked her and my pending arrival to make sure she delivers the baby sometime after August 4 so that I can attend Devek Days (she was not amused). I have this odd feeling I'll have to make sure I'm not parked in at Devek Days in case I get "that" call and we have to take mommy to the hospital in the shark.

"Officer, she is having a baby and 150mph seemed just fine in this car at the time"

PS: Looking for a nanny.

hi all,

a local drive and I'm already booked up all day!

A memorial for my friend's wife, grad party, and a 50th b-day.

sounds like fun and I'm sorry I'll miss it, but beware, the last time I was on 17mile drive--to play golf--they made us pay at the entrance and we were supposed to show the reciept at the course to get reimbursed (of course I forgot!)

Sure hope you end up with more than 4 cars!!

Bill, Nicole: Just returned from Chicago. Have visitors from Toronto. Would love to go, but prior commitments won't allow me to participate.

Seth: How much are you willing to pay for a nanny? And does the nanny get his/her choice of vehicle to haul junior around in?

Rick: ONE MEEELION DOLLARS, but the Nanny has to have an SCCA license to drive any of my cars. Wife's car, no worries.

Beth: Still trying to fix up the snapped bolt problem on the thermostat housing. Hoping to talk someone into helping me this weekend as it isn't something I have done before. (Drill & tap)

Coby:

I have experience in this area. I'd be glad to come over an help deal with the snapped bolt. It should not keep you off the road long. I can come over tonight or Thursday or Friday evening, if you'd like to make the ride.

What size is the bolt? If you have not done this before, do not drill and tap without somebody there who has fudged these up good and now knows better.

Coby:

I can also come over Sunday if the next few nights are not open. Drill and tap, done right, should only take an hour or so.

Too bad you cant do it the following week, as Scot Graham and I will be at Laguna Seca in the SCCA ITE double regional race. (friday, sat, and sunday).

Let us know if anyone wants to come out and help out. Friday qualifying, Saturday 10am race, Sunday 10am qual and 12:30 race.

have fun on the fun run.

Hey Cobey & Bill,

Why not make this like a Tech Session ? I would love to see how you go about doing this and I am in the area. I could stand around and watch while you guys swear (can also be persuaded into buying the beer).

Mark:

I will try to get a group to watch/help at the race, probably for Sunday.
