Anyone run a Lomas X-pipe with the hi-flow cats thru stock S4 mid mufflers and an RMB?

A lot of cars run that setup in DFW. As long as you have the cats its a nice sound and not over loud at all.

The only car i can recall hearing was Larry in CA's S4 which i am pretty sure had an RMB and Xpipe. Not sure if he has cats or not. It sounded real good but its too loud for me on a regular basis i would think. If the car's a weekend toy its probably not an issue really.

Its either cats and an RMB or no cats and a stock muffler.
Both are acceptable levels of V8 sound.

I think that you can have a slightly reduced loud factor if you use a set of S4 resonators and a RMB with or without cats.
My car has a X W/O cats and the GT resonators and GT rear muff,
With this setup and a RMB in place of the GT muff it was NASCAR loud, too much for me........ With the X a set of GT resonators and Gt muff its has some soul but not enough to be bothersome while on long cruises, but step on the loud pedal and you know somethings happening

I'm running the Motorsports (Dave and Garrity) crossover, high flow cats, GT resonators, and a RMB. It is a bit loud when you drive it in anger, but fine for me in cruise mode. I like it, and it sounds pretty nice with the SC up front. If I did not have the cats, the rear muffler would have to go back on for any type of long drive.

Sounds like the x-pipe/cats/s4 muffs/rmb combo may work for me then.

From this tread and several before I got the idea that the X is essential. The stock H is not as efficient as the X.

Using the X and concerning the noise it seams to have two possible solutions.

remove the cats and keep the rear muffler
cats (new ones I think, otherwise there is no space for the X) and use RMB

The second choice more expensive.

Any idea if there is a HP gain using this more expensive solution?

Get the combo, X + H! The X for flow, the H for sound.

It's much quieter than a X by itself, and doesn't lose power, in fact, it may increase it.

I made 312+ rwhp with it!

I am looking at redoing my echaust. I presently have an X-pipe, no cats, the mid-muffler (2 in and 2 out) and a straight thru design 2 in 2 out muffler. The sound is great.
However, the 2 1/2" X-pipe goes done to the smaller 2" pipes of the mid-muffler (log JAM = power loss) via the stainless steel clamps.

I am looking at doing the exhaust without the mid-muffler and changing the final muffler to.....I don't know. That is my problem. What would be a good design after the X-pipe with the removal of the mid-muffler?
So many options...
