What length bolts for engine stand?
Getting prepped for the engine pull.
I used to have a set of bolts but can't find them, so I'll go ahead and order some new ones from McMaster-Carr.
IIRC they are 12x1.5, but what length do I need for the blind holes and for the through holes.
Thanks

I just used to two top bell housing bolts with a couple of extra washers for the top and then found a couple of others in my "bolt storage bin" for the open bottom holes.

Got those bolts at BoltDepot.com Metric hex bolts, Metric standard bolts, Steel grade 8.8 fine thread, 12mm x 1.5 x 120mm. 120mm was a bit too long, so I used lots of washers.

I have a pair of really nice grade 10 i think they are bolts that thread into the upper 2 holes in the block if someone wants to buy some from me
Lets say $12 shipped (they were pretty expensive as i recall)

I think your wasting your time asking as not all engine stands are the same. What you need to do is measure the 4 hole lengths of the engine stand (should all be the same, but you never know) and the length of the hole at the bell housing , then add 3/4" -1" of thread length for the through bolts and your measurement is the length of the bolt shaft, not the head. I ended up with 5 1/2" bolts for mine. Get 2 washers and 1 nut per bolt for those. The top ones you need to take the engine stand hole measurement and add 3/4" -1" of thread. You need only 1 washer each for these on the bolt head side. I think I ended up with 4 1/2" for these, but really don't remember. Just go measure...3 minutes of your time.
