Default How Fast Is The Carerra 4s?

Just curious.

Ran into one over the weekend. A beautiful car. We got caught at a red light and we both gave each other the thumbs up! We both took off together, flooring it. I got the jump on him (which kinda surprises me with the 4wd), and I maintained just about a car length on him until about 70 where we had to let off for traffic. Fairly evenly matched I woulld say.

Cool car, cool driver.

Wow, even with the supercharger? I imagine that that would more than make up for the HP and weight difference. I do like the way they look though....... wiiiiiide.

this must have been a 997 model, you should have spanked a 996 unless it was a turbo. ive lived with the 2wd 'S' on the motorway but there wasnt enough space to really see who was quicker.

its also a $70,000 car (used). No shame in not being faster then one of those.

I think its time you go to stage 3 though

The C4S is a nice ride....any Carrera S model will be quick.......I had some fun "battles" with 2 different 997S's at DE's......I managed to pass them both, but mostly due to them being even more novice drivers than I am!! :>)

Ken, if the stats are accurate that Jim B. listed, somethings wrong with your car. I believe you asked about more boost via a smaller pulley you aquired to me awhile back. Did you ever install it and what are you boosting?

Last event at Big Willow in our special short track licenced session apparently there was a guy chasing me in his 993 coupe. I only knew that because at the next event he commented about how he enjoyed following me and trying to catch me....the old Very Brown 1980 ,198HP at the rear wheels 3400 lbs or so with driver and he could not keep up ...Yes he is new at this game.

Jim-- That guy was probably using the brakes. Very Bad Habit if you want to go fast. Every time you slow down you have to accelerate again, and the $%*&@#!!! brown POS 928 juts gets farther away. Gotta be frustrating for the poor guy. Pass along my tip about brakes, maybe it will help him.

It would be a hard car to spank. They are very quick.
